Sunday gardening...

Well today is a gorgeous day in B'more...and I planted the items I bought yesterday at Lowes...I am one of those who just digs a hole, puts the flower in, covers it over and waters...although I have thought of getting some of that new miracle grow that feeds the plants but kills the weeds...

Hit Michael's with my 20% of coupon and picked up a few things, believe it or not I got more plastic storage containers but the small ones...you can never have enough storage...

Found a couple of jewelry holders at Bed, Bath & Beyond and will be posting pics as soon as I set up my light box.  Even have a name for one of them but won't do the reveal until I can show her in person...

Met some dear friends for breakfast today.  One of these ladies I met when I was 5, and I'm sure all of us can relate to one of those long term friends.  These are friendships that you might not see each other for months but pickup right at the end of the last conversation.  True friendship...

Need to photo some of my art charms since I only have one more day to submit, not that I am a procrastinator...but first I might just take in some evening sunshine before I start creating...

Hope everyone had a great weekend...

Hopping is tiring...but so much fun

I still haven't finished seeing all the workshops.  When your eyes can't focus its time to call it a day.  Did a bit of gardening this morning, and took advantage of the extra discount from B'sue Boutiques.  Now its time for a few more hops, laundry, weeding and shopping.  At least 2 things are fun.  This has been such a wonderful experience for me.  So much talent in this group.  And everyone so willing to help and share.  I feel as if I just made 48 new friends.  Already felt as if I have know Brenda for years.  Enjoy your weekend.  I hope to get some art charms completed this weekend.  Bye for now

Messy Workshop Blog Hop

First you need to know I live alone so no one can tell me to straighten up my mess etc.  While it is somewhat lonely I have a 5 yr old Red Doberman named Vixen who keeps me company.  I really never crafted in my younger days except for maybe some crocheting so I had some things on my bucket list and am doing them now.   Eventually I hope to sell some items but this is what I want to do when I retire.  Might even become a gemologist.  I buy things now while I'm working, they don't go bad (or at least I hope not) eventually might take a gemology course

My girl Vixen - helps me when I work
So here are the pics of my mess work areas....

Twas the Night Before the Messy Workshop Blog Hop

And I am so looking forward to seeing everyone's creations and work space.  I'm sure I will get plenty of ideas.  Just wish I wasn't so tired after working all day and our weather has been crazy to say the least.

One days it feels like summer and the next it feels like winter.  It is still a bit too chilly to work with the polymer clay because I will not turn the heat back on...Yep I am getting cheap in my old age.

I have someone telling me she needs to go out and then think I will go to bed early.  Friday mornings are very busy so I won't get to see too many blogs till later in the day.

Until tomorrow...

Crystal Clay

Wanted to post some of my crystal clay items.  The compact was given as a gift and she loved it

Wednesday before blog hop

Well I am looking forward to the messy workshop blog hop.  Will be my first ever so hope it all goes as planned.  Just took some pics with a new camera so going to upload one of my dog Vixen to see how it looks.

After taking the pictures I realize I have some major organization to take care of - soon.  But in my defense I do have a full time job and large house & yard to maintain but I am a born clutter bug. LOL

 Vixen still - unusual
Vixen in my bed - no sense making the bed with her around
Vixen posing - I must be getting better with the camera - she never sits still

yucky monday

Weather not too great but we need the rain.  I washed my vehicle on saturday so that pretty much guarantees something will fall from the sky.  At least it wasn't snow.  Was thinking maybe I could make some extra money by being a "rain woman".  Get paid to bring on the rain by washing my car...LOL

Today was pretty busy at work and then I got a package from Stampers Best.  I just love their free gifts.  I ordered the storage sheets and put them in a binder today.  Looks like I will need a bigger binder.

My dog Vixen has been an absolute tyrant today.  She doesn't like the rain and has an abundance of energy (sometimes I wish I had half of her energy).

Should be getting some goodies from B'sue this week.  I keep telling myself I need to stop buying and then I find more cool stuff.  No plans for this weekend so I will sit myself down and start creating.  Once I get started the time just flys by.

Going to set up a mini photo studio.  Bought it a couple of years ago and I must have misplaced the directions when I opened it but went on you tube and found out what I need to do.  Got a new Nikon Coolpix and can't wait to see what kind of pictures it takes.  Sadly I am not a good photographer but maybe with practice I can improve

Well time to call it a day...

Happy Crafting....

Gorgeous saturday

Heading to Mt Joy Pa for a cousin's baby shower.  Washed my vehicle this morning so for sure it is going to rain but I don't care it was just way too dirty.

Got some jewelry from a friend who has an ebay site.  Several were marked, one was a Trafari, another a Danecraft Heart pin (gold filled), and a Dante pearl tie tack.  Got the whole batch for less than $6.  Not sure but I think the pearl could be genuine.

It is fun going through my collection and looking for marks.  I plan to take pictures and most likely sell them.

Tomorrow I plan to start filming my messy workshop video then help good friends set up their computers.  Seems funny for me to be helping when I always thought I was computer challenged.  Big thing is to not panic and wait for it to do its thing.  I don't have an abundance of patience but way better than I used to be yrs ago.

Time to get ready for my trip

Enjoy the day and remember it really is the simple things in life that are important

pics of some vintage jewelry

Sunny Day

Beautiful spring day in Baltimore.  Just took some pictures of some vintage jewelry I have acquired over the years and perhaps will sell one day.  I love pins and have quite a collection myself.  Will take pics of those soon.  I need to start filming for the messy workshop tour sponsored by B'sue Boutiques.  I am such a procrastinator and don't know why but a little to late to change now.

Got some wonderful stamps from Stampers Best.  They are very good quality stamps and always send a free gift much like B'sue.

Well I better start my organizing.

Friday the 13th

and all is good with the world.  This weekend I will finalize my taxes and get papers organized.

Want to start uploading some pics and maybe even video's to my blog or at least to youtube.  It just takes time and taking care of a yard in springtime can be quite daunting but I consider it a challenge.  Keeping the stuff running is my problem.  Everything seems to run out of gas or string right when you only have a couple more feet to the finish line.

Received my rubber stamps from Stampers Best and they really seem quite nice.  Might try playing around with them over the weekend.

Had an idea for hanging chain or necklaces.  Took a piece of chair molding, drilled holes, added cup holders and hung it on the wall.  Two days and it isn't full yet.  Then I had a towel rack my son had made in high school that wasn't being used since I remodeled the bathroom last year.  It has a nice shelf for storage and I hung strung beads on the bar since it is easy to remove the towel bar.  Of course the cup hooks are not evenly spaced (my late husband is probably cringing) but since I am a free spirit they look just fine to me.

I am finding that when I put things in containers I kinda forget about them.  I do the same thing with files etc.  I work well with piles of paper on my desk.

Now off to Big Lots & the Dollar Tree to see if I can find any goodies

a new site for rubber stamps found....

Monday and other than losing one of my favorite managers at work all is good.

Ordered some rubber stamps from Stampers Best thanks to Megan of Jeweled Lizard.  Prices are fantastic compared to what I have seen in craft stores.

Plan to go to Hobby Lobby today or tomorrow since they carry Amazing Mold Putty.  Can't wait to start making molds for my polymer clay

Not much else to write now since I must get back to work.

Have a super day everyone

sat evening

It was a productive day going through some of my vintage jewelry bought on ebay last year.  I sorted out the signed items and it was fun just looking at all of the items and wondering what kind of story could they tell.  I have so many one of a kind earrings, have to think of something cool to do with them.  Time for bed.  Tomorrow will probably be spent outside working on the lawn

saturday morning....

Lets see, maybe now it is working.  Only time will tell

whew!

Blogs should not be this difficult.  I think I just have way too many email addresses.  Lets see if this works.
